Warpaint

"Warpaint," The New Yorker, April 4, 2011

L.A. band Warpaint are playing the Brooklyn Bowl this Wednesday and the Bowery Ballroom the next day. Here's the illustration I did of them for the New Yorker. Below is my color inspiration (Overlap No.3 (Crimson and Blue) by Ernst Benkert) as well as the original drawing of the band's bassist.

Here's a portrait I did of Queen of Rock, Wanda Jackson. I dressed her in red as a nod to Jack White, the producer of her latest album, "The Party Ain't Over."
