Happy Birthday, Hellboy!

Hellboy turned 20 last month! In the past two decades, Mike Mignola's creation has inspired a series of spin-off comics, two feature films, animated movies, toys and more. He also inspired this illustration!  This was my entry in Multiversity Comics' art contest (judged by Mike Mignola himself!) to celebrate this anniversary.

Meet Maxwell Awan!

Emily and I wanted to introduce you to Maxwell Henry Awan! Max was born Saturday, September 21st, 8:44pm in Manhattan. He was 7 lbs 8.4 oz and 20 inches in length. Everyone's healthy, happy and sleep deprived!

This is the first in a planned series of vignettes featuring characters I've been developing for the past couple of years. I had all of these epic stories written out (complete with timelines and family trees) but, not having drawn a comic in a while, they seemed overwhelming to tackle. I'm using these short installments to get back into working sequentially and to visit different points of the city's timeline.

"Signal Watch" was initially just going to be the title for this scene but I think I might use it as the title for the series...
