Amble through Bramble
My good friend Morgan Levine will be on the Martha Stewart Show, Wednesday at 11am on NBC. She will be featured in two segments explaining how to fold crepe paper flowers.
Morgan's also set up an online store, Amble through Bramble, where you can buy her paper flowers (dipped in resin) as barrettes or brooches! She also has invited Emily L. Eibel and me to sell prints and original works in her Guest Exhibition section!

WFoF Header

If you haven't had a chance to check out Welcome Friend or Foe recently, Emily has been redesigning the blog's look. Drew did the first header for the site and he set the bar high. Tomby followed suit and I decided it was time to join in on the fun.

The Oedipus Cycle
A couple of weeks ago, The New Yorker sent me to see The Oedipus Cycle at the Pearl Theatre. I attempted some life drawing during the play, but the theater was too dark to draw anything coherent. Fortunately, there was time during the intermissions to sketch out thumbnails. It was a great show- I'd definitely recommend checking it out.

"Can Christie's sell a painting of Sotheby's?"
I'm sure we'll find out someday. Until then, enjoy "Sold," a new series of paintings by Charles Lutz.

Welcome Friend or Foe
Ilana, Em and I have started a blog with some of our fellow illustrators/ bar buddies. Ilana described the blog's statement of purpose as "sort of like back in art school when seeing your work up on the wall with everyone else made you want to try that much harder and gave you a bit of vital perspective to boot" and that sounds like a good goal to me.
It just kicked off yesterday so be on the lookout for upcoming art, news and discussion of the path in life we've chosen.
Welcome friend or foe!
